• If the spectrum you obtain is not acceptable,
increase or decrease the laser again in 50 to
100-step increments or decrements and reacquire.
If you pass the optimum laser setting, increase or
decrease using a setting that is midway between
the previous two step increments or decrements.
Signal saturation
If the laser intensity is too high, the signal may be saturated
(Figure 5-16). A saturated peak can be determined by:
